La semana pasada tuvo lugar en el Mercado de La Cebada (Madrid) una iniciativa que pretendía de dar nuevos usos al espacio comercial: Se Alquila Mercado. El Proyecto SeAlquila, en su tercera edición, presentó las propuestas de más de 150 creadores que reflexionaron sobre el concepto “mercado”.

Las week, the third edition of the project, SeAlquila changed the Cebada Market (Madrid) into a short-living Contemporary Cultural Art centre.
With the aim of give repurpose for a comercial centre, Se Alquila Mercado will host more than 150 artists with their corresponding artistic proposal which think about the idea of market.

Fue muy interesante observar como los visitantes de la muestra se mezclaban con los compradores acostumbrados a realizar allí sus compras; al mismo tiempo el mercado continuaba con su actividad acostumbrada.
It was really interesting to watch the public of the exhibition and the local people who went to the market for their daily shopping together in the same place. At the same time, the market went on with its usual activity.
